Powerhouse Grain Bars

Ingredients
½ cup sprouted Quinoa
½ cup sprouted Oat Groats (whole oat, not rolled)
¼ c sprouted Amaranth
5 soaked Medjool Dates
2 Tbs Raw Almond Butter
2 Tbs Raw Agave Nectar
½ cup soaked Raw Pecans
1/3 c Enjoy Life! Mini Chocolate Chips (could also use dried fruit)
2 Tbs popped Amaranth
Instructions
Coarse grind Pecans in food processor, empty into dish
Put dates, almond butter, agave in food processor and blend well
Add nuts and blend
Add grains and chocolate chips or dried fruit and blend
Grease an 8x8 pan with coconut oil
Sprinkle ½ popped amaranth on bottom of pan
Put dollops of mixture into pan and spread out
Top with rest of popped amaranth
Refrigerate untl firm
Cut into 16 squares
Each square has 71 calories, 3 gr fat, 1 gr sat fat, 0 cholesterol, 16 mg sodrium, 8 gr carb, 1 gr fiber, 2 gr sugar and 2 gr protein
Sprouting the grains actually increases the protein so the protein content is higher.
Really Raw Cookies

Ingredients
¼ c soaked raw almonds, ground fine w/ S blade in food processor
7 soaked & pitted Medjool dates
2 T coconut oil
2/3 c finely ground sprouted spelt (sprout then grind in food processor with S blade)
3 Tbs Enjoy Life! Chocolate Chips
1 Tbs organic fine ground coconut
Instructions
Grind almonds in food processor
Add dates, Grind until fine
Add coconut oil, mix well
Add finely ground sprouted spelt
Stir in choc chips
Grease 8x8 pan w/ coconut oil
Sprinkle ½ coconut on bottom of glass pan
Pat mix into bottom of pan about ¼ inch thick
Sprinkle ½ coconut on top
Cut into 16 bars
Refrigerate
1 bar has 85 cal, 4 gr fat, 1 gr sat fat, 0 cholesterol, 1 gr sodium, 2 gr fiber, 12 gr sugar, 1 gr protein
Sugar is from all natural sources, except for choc chips.
When grains are sprouted the protein and nutrient content are increased by 100-300%. The amt of protein listed is just for a regular grain, I don’t have any way to calculate the protein after sprouting.
