Basic Vinaigrette

Mix together in a jar or bowl

1/4 cup acid (can be any kind of vinegar or citrus juice)

4 Tbs oil (flaxseed, olive, coconut, grapeseed, safflower, avocado)

3 Tbs Raw Agave Nectar (eliminate if you don't want dressing sweet)

1 Tbs minced garlic

1 Tbs minced onion

Your favorite herbs and spices


Healthy Ranch Dressing

Adapted from Dr. Weil’s website

Just for Roger!

Ingredients:
6 ounces silken tofu (or soft tofu, drained) Non-GMO
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons Braggs Apple cider vinegar with mother

 

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender container. Blend until well mixed.

For Blue Cheese dressing Add:  2 Tbs Goat cheese or Roquefurt Cheese (this increases the fat, calories, cholesterol, sodium by whatever the package of blue cheese says.)

Real Ranch Dressing _ Non-Dairy

Don’t use this on detox

1 cup of organic buttermilk or plain goat yogurt (best)

1 cup Mayo (Veganaise or Spectrum Organic)

1 tsp fresh ground black pepper

1 tsp fresh ground Celtic Sea Salt

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried parsley

1 tsp dried thyme

 

Mix well, store in fridge, this is not a low fat food, however, it is a much better choice than ANY prepared packaged ranch dressing.

 

** make your own cultured milk by putting the juice of ½ a lemon in the measuring cup and then adding your milk.  Let stand for 5 minutes, it will curdle.



Kyoto House Salad Dressing Madeover

1/2 tsp. Celtic Sea Salt
1/4 c. sesame oil
2 tbsp. organic rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp. Braggs Amino Acids or  (Tamari for wheat free)
1/4 tsp. ground ginger

Mix together and shake. Makes 1/3 cup dressing.



Celeste's Green Goddess

Great as a dip or sandwich spread!


1 cup veganaise

2-3 small cloves garlic

3 green onions (all of it except the root)

1 Tbs fresh dill (more if you really like dill)

Sea Salt to taste



Put all in a food processor or magic bullet and blend until creamy.  Keep up to 3 days in refrigerator.

**You can also add the veggies to the Real Ranch dressing and it is yummy!
